Salman Says: “I chose to remain silent.”
As we reported there have been many different versions about what happened at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party between Salman and Shah Rukh. In fact it is still all rumors because neither Sallu or SRK have confirmed or denied the reports. However, on his blog Salman did write about the negative stories but only to say “I chose to remain silent.”
On his blog he wrote:
“For the next few days you will hear and read a lot of shit about me, a lot of it. Keep on reading it…but don’t react to it. I don’t. Like sometimes when you are traveling in a fast car and you find a dog chasing your car…barking away. You don’t stop the car and start reacting to the dog…u don’t…there’s no point. I don’t wish to react. I don’t have the time for it. Besides, I don’t understand the language of dogs, except for my two - Myson and Myjaan.
Unfortunately in our industry the developing trend is not to celebrate others success…every time another person is successful there will be someone trying to pull him down. You don’t increase your own efforts to become successful but try to always decrease someone else’s success…that’s the mantra of the industry. A man is good they say but they say it in the past tense. A lot of people out there talk highly but only once a person’s gone…Dead! These people whoever they are - are just doing their job - only what they know to do best.
I chose to remain silent. I do not have the time to spend reacting. But even silence speaks. Silence makes more noise than thunder. …’Bandar Sher ko chidhata hai….’ Sirf aawaaz kar sakta hai... Kabhi Sher ko maar sakta hai? He can’t do anything. But when the Lion roars, a whole pack of monkeys fall from trees!
So keep on reading…read all the negatives…read till they get tired of writing. Everyone goes through this…but not for long. I say just look good feel good and do good, that’s it. I love you all.”

Salman & Katrina do the Splits?
Hot on the heels of the collapse of the Harman-Priyanka relationship, it's now being rumoured that it is becoming increasingly clear that Sallu and Kat are headed for the splitsville. Perhaps it's the effects of the early monsoon on tempers, but Kats is rumoured to have been distraught at the way Sallu ruined her birthday party with his face-off with SRK and then his ridiculous marriage proposal to her. And the party was Sallu's way of trying to regain her good books. "This has become a pattern," said Katrina. "Salman always tries to do something to please me, but just ends up getting me more irritated." Supposedly, she's even stopped taking his calls.
According to reports, it appears that it's Kat who has wanted to wind down the relationship to a mere friendship. She's always had a problem with his heavy drinking and wants to work more with heroes her own age. According to other sources, she finds Salman over-possessive and dislikes him trying to impose his wishes on her. She feels stifled.
Meanwhile, it's also rumoured that Katrina is leaning more towards Akshay Kumar, her co-star in Singh is Kinng! But Akshay has rubbished those reports. She is also said to be having a great time with Ranbir Kapoor shooting Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Crew members have been raving about her dedication and the chemistry between the two youngsters.

Harman plays cricket with the pros
For his next film, Victory, Harman Baweja takes on the role of a professional cricket player and he is finding that it is a very difficult job to have. For the film, Harman had to play against some of the who’s who of professional cricket including Brett Lee, Stuart Clark, Mike Hussey, Mohammed Ahmed and Abhijeet Sharma.
In an interview with IANS Harman said, “Earlier in Australia, I played with Brett Lee, Stuart Clark and Mike Hussey. I'd like to think I looked authentic enough playing with them. Now I'm playing with Rajasthan's Ranji players. And I'm having a ball because although I'm playing a cricketer I'm playing for real. Man, you can't fake it with these guys. And considering Rajasthan has just won the IPL (Indian Premier League), you can imagine how good these guys are at the game."
About his role he said, “It's the story of a cricketer Vijay Shekhawat's rise from a small town player to a national level cricketer. My big moment came when these Ranji players said I played well. They told me there's a lot more to cricket than just the shot.” He added, “They said I looked convincing in the way I wore my helmet, gloves, stood my ground, ran and connected with the field. I worked on all of that.”
For one scene, Harman had to shoot for 12 hours in the sun, “By the end of it, I was ready to collapse. Everyone else in the crew had breaks. They ran under trees, checked the monitor in the shade while I had to stand in the burning sun and play non-stop for 12 hours, rehearsing and doing final takes. I'm so exhausted by the heat I can collapse right now."
Fortunately, Harman did not have to start from scratch and learn the game of cricket, “As far as playing the game goes, I was a cricket player from school and college. So I only needed to brush up the game. It was getting the other details about a cricketer's personality right that was tough."
Guess we will have to wait and see who won the match when the film hits theaters. We will keep up on the score of Victory so watch this space for more.
