How To Have Unlimited Simultaneous Downloads in Internet Explorer 7

Windows Internet Explorer 7 is a web browser released by Microsoft in late 2006 for Windows Vista and XP SP2. The number of simultaneous downloads from one server is limited to 2 in Internet Explorer 7. For those of you who are making tons of downloads a day this might be some how annoying. But don't get mad because there is a way to get around this. Follow the instructions below:

1. The first step is to open the Registry Editor. Do this by clicking Start and type regedit in the Start Search field. Then hit Enter.
2. Now navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Internet Settings.
3. At this point you will have to make two new keys. So in the right pane right click on an empty spot and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Give it the name MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server. To change the number of simultaneous downloads double click this value and in the value field enter the number of connections you want (i.e. 5).
4. Create the second key the same way as you did at the previous step. Name it MaxConnectionsPerServer. The value for this key should be the same with the value of MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server.
5. Restart Internet Explorer to take advantage of this hack. If problems appear on the way set the values for these keys to 2.
