How To Speed Up Folder Browsing in Windows XP

When you are browsing the folders on your computer you can notice a little delay, because Windows XP automatically searches for network files and printers everytime you open Windows Explorer. Here is what you have to do in order to fix this and to increase browsing significantly:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Click on Tools -> Folder Options menu.

3. Click on the View tab.
4. Uncheck the Automatically search for network folders and printers check box.

5. Click Apply.
6. Click Ok.
7. Reboot your computer.
